Apple Launches Nightmare Stopping App
Luis Alvarez, CEO of Alvarez Technology, sat down with Tech Talk on Power Talk Radio to discuss the recent launch of a revolutionary new FDA-approved app that helps stop nightmares. This is good news for those who suffer from nightmares, including those induced by PTSD, or night tremors. Called Nightware, the app is downloaded to an Apple watch. But not everyone can download it. In fact, this is a prescription-based only app, so you have to see a doctor to get clearance to use the new app. However, if you suffer from nightmares, go see your doctor for a prescription, and you can start using it tonight.
According to Alvarez, this is a “groundbreaking approval by the FDA because there are devices out there that purport to help you with all sorts of different things, but none of them are FDA approved, and a lot of these companies don’t go after that approval because it’s an erroneous process.” Apple, however, decided to go that route, and it paid off. Big time. They now have the only FDA-approved app used to treat nightmares, which has been available since 2019.
How Does Nightware Work?
The person who suffers from nightmares and/or night tremors wears the watch as he or she sleeps. The watch will gently wake you up if it recognizes changes in your body, such as an increased heart rate, increased temperature, or tremors. The app will essentially wake you up from the nightmare, so you can go back to sleep. Overall, the app’s goal is to help you improve your nightly sleep. According to one recent clinical trial, the app was shown to improve the wearer’s sleep in just 30 days. It can be safe to say then that this is an app that actually works, so if you suffer from nightmares, you might want to try it.
Alvarez goes on to say that we can expect more devices like this one in the future, devices that will constantly monitor our bodies. To learn more about this topic, listen to the interview here.
